Congratulations to Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School for winning the 2021 Cambridge English Outstanding Educator Award.

On 7 July 2022, GPEX Business Development Manager, Mr. Damien Tham, presented the award to the school. GPEX Central Sdn. Bhd is an award-winning English language educational service provider in Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The Beginning:

In order to advance English instruction at our school and raise students’ English competence, we started implementing Cambridge English courses in 2017.  On 13 March 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Cambridge Assessment English Authorised Platinum Exam Centre GPEX Central Sdn Bhd and Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School. The objective of this MOU is to establish the framework of cooperation between GPEX and the school and to set up a Cambridge Assessment English Partnership School. This is an important collaboration in supporting the development of English language teaching and learning in Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School.

The Present:

Since 2017, Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School has been using the Thinks Series student book. The series is a fresh, vibrant, and upbeat course designed to engage teenage learners and get them to think. Exam-style exercises and tips help students prepare for national and international English proficiency assessments.

The future:

Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School English teachers will continue to undergo teaching development courses certified by Cambridge Assessment English. To further prepare students for the Cambridge English Qualifications exam, the school will proceed to incorporate the Cambridge Exam Preparation Materials into its curriculum.
