Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School Shines as Borneo’s Sole Representative in Sunway Competition 2024!

We are thrilled to announce that Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School (STTSS) has emerged as the only representative from Borneo to secure a spot in the top 10 of the prestigious Sunway Competition 2024. After four months of intense preparation, our dedicated team showcased exceptional skills and determination, making us all incredibly proud.

Our superb team, comprising Soh Yim Qin (S2Zhong), Wesley Kong Yu Sen (S2Ren), Rachel Wong Siau Ying (S2Ren), and Nicole Xiaowen Kinsuan (S2Ai), worked hard under the guidance of their dedicated teachers. The competition, organised by Sunway Diploma Studies, challenged participants to create a detailed business proposal, prototype, financial feasibility study, and marketing campaign centered around the theme of sustainable development goals.

On 6 June, the team submitted a persuasive 3-minute video as part of their submission. After a rigorous review process, the top 10 teams were announced in July. On 3 August, our team excelled in the final stage and endured a tough 7-minute Q&A session by a panel of three judges. Their innovative approach and comprehensive understanding of their product (an anti-stress hoodie) earned them a well-deserved 2nd runner-up position.

As a testament to their hard work and resourcefulness, the team was awarded an RM8000 bursary and trophies. Congratulations to Soh Yim Qin, Wesley Kong Yu Sen, Rachel Wong Siau Ying, and Nicole Xiaowen Kinsuan for this remarkable achievement! Your dedication and excellence are truly inspiring, and you have brought immense pride to STTSS.
